We are excited to introduce TXGCVolunteers.info, the single, trusted gateway for volunteers and VOADs throughout the Texas Gulf Coast Region.
TXGCVolunteers.info is brought to you through the collaborative efforts of the Texas Gulf Coast Regional VOAD, Just Serve, and Volunteer Houston, a program of IM Houston.
By bringing together the efforts of Just Serve and Volunteer Houston into one simple platform, TXGCVolunteers.info achieves what no fragmented system can deliver:
- Attract the most volunteers. One URL, one message, the largest possible pool of willing hands for disaster recovery work with VOADs or Jurisdisctions.
- Engage the most VOADs and Jurisdictions. A unified platform that gives every VOAD and Jurisdiction the choice to work with the volunteer platform that best suits their operational needs and provides the necessary support.
- Covers every county. All jurisdictions within the 13-county region are encompassed under a single umbrella.
- Simplify communication. One clear message: TXGCVolunteers.info.
- Deliver unmatched support. Behind the scenes, Just Serve and Volunteer Houston collaborate to ensure a seamless intake, referral, and operational support.
- Current clients, VOADS, and Jurisdictions of Just Serve and Volunteer Houston don’t need to make any changes.
- Priority jobs are communicated clearly to potential volunteers on TXGCVolunteers.info.
- Volunteers experience no added complexity.
- Referral tracking is preserved, ensuring accountability.
In short, TXGCVolunteers.info gives us the strongest, simplest, and most reliable way to connect volunteers with VOADs—uniting our region’s capacity to respond when it matters most.
Resources for Volunteer Partners
A Volunteer Partner is a business, civic, or faith-based organization that agrees to amplify TXGCVolunteers’ request for spontaneous volunteers.
When the request for spontaneous volunteers is made, they share the request with their employees or members, asking for individual volunteers (Tier I), teams of volunteers from the organization (Tier II), or even training and deploying dedicated teams (Tier III).
