Long-Term Recovery Committees (LTRCs)

TGCRVOAD and Long-Term Recovery Committees

The TCGRVOAD works closely with the long-term recovery committees (LTRCs) of the thirteen counties it serves. The focus of the TGCRVOAD is on the initial response to a disaster while the focus of the LTRCs is on the long-term recovery efforts. A smooth transition from response-oriented activities to long-term recovery activities is key for the rapid recovery of the clients we serve.

Many of the TGCRVOAD organizations are active in both response and recovery which makes a smooth transition easier to accomplish. During the transition to Recovery the TGCRVOAD and the county LTRCs share assessments of the damage, response work and recovery work to be completed.
