1. By-Laws
a. New Business: Extend membership to for-profit organizations with a disaster component/focus as noted in the revised By-Laws.
i. TGCRVOAD seeks to extend the rights to membership to for-profit entities. For-profits with a disaster component, can be instrumental to response and recovery efforts. When working alongside non-profit organizations, for-profits can enhance and expand our reach by helping finance short-and long-term disaster recovery, aiding in economic recovery for the community, and providing access to local and national for-profit leaders. For-profit entities often seek to invest in the communities for which they service and operate and tapping into the work of the TGCRVOAD is a wonderful way to do so.
